We're OFFICIAL!

Exciting news! PassThePopcorn senior administration recently reached out to MurphysLaw and rb14060 to inquire if we wanted to become an officially sanctioned channel. After a (very short) discussion, our answer was a resounding "YES!" Becoming official potentially means some very special perks for the channel, giving us the opportunity to grow our user base and provide rewards and perks to our active players.

There is one caveat. Becoming official means that authenticating with Hummingbird is now a requirement to join the channel. This should be a small change for most people, as you are already required to be identified to receive voice in the channel and be able to play. For more information please click here.

The #Trivia staff has a list of certain things we'd like to see offered by PTP administration. The following is a list of some of these ideas we had in mind, in no particular order, and there is, of course, no guarantee we will receive all (or any) of the things we ask for on this list. If you have suggestions for things to add, please PM MurphysLaw.

1. Issuance of site BP based on points earned from playing trivia. This will likely be based on a predetermined multiplier based on accumulated trivia points. Both the channel staff and PTP staff reserve the ability to change the multiplier for special event drives and other circumstances.

2. A front page site announcement once we reach our officiation date. We'd also like to implement an increased BP multiplier during this initial few days or week after the announcement.

3. Occasional event drives sanctioned by the site.

4. A "sticky" thread in the Games category in the forum.

5. Stretch goal: Top 5-10 scores of the month posted on the site sidebar, near the movie recommendations.
